Tag - 7 facts about me.

Tagged by Naneen… Another thing that I’ve been putting off.. sorry naneen.. I’m really doing this for your sake you know, and right now, I duk serabut fikir, nak tag siapa pulak la lepas ni..

7 Facts About Me:

  1. I’m the first child out of 3 siblings, I had a little brother who passed away in 2000, sudden death.
  2. I got married at the age of 19 years old and my husband came to merisik the night before my maths paper for SPM!
  3. I want to become an ophthalmologist, specifically, a refractive eye surgeon and VR (vitreo-retinal) surgeon.
  4. When I was 10, my ambition was to become an astronaut!
  5. I learnt to cook after I got married with the help of my husband.
  6. Currently, I’m obsessed with listening to motivational audio books on my iPod.
  7. I cut my sister’s hair when I was 5 while we were playing hairdressers.

7 unspectacular quirks of mine:

(It’s not easy to reveal your quirks publicly like this! It’s hard to even think of one, I should ask my husband I bet he can fill the whole page in seconds, hehe.)

  1. I get moody when I’m being woken up from sleep because it’s hard for me to sleep back.
  2. If I want something, I must get it no matter what.
  3. I can play video games, whatever games as long as they are games... and I can stay up the whole night playing games, just like I did when I was addicted to The Sims 2. At that time, my husband will ask before he goes off to sleep, “niah nak tido ke tak malam ni?”… and most of the time, I’d answer, “tak kot!.” This is the reason why I didn’t buy X-Box.
  4. I worry too much sometimes.
  5. Every morning, I spend about 15 minutes deciding what to wear. Hahaha.. in the end, I still look silly.
  6. I am too sensitive and easily hurt, and I can cry over small things… eg. When the food delivered to my house is not what I ordered!
  7. I get carried away once I log on to Facebook, and spend hours browsing through people’s photos, and regret the whole thing before bed time.
Who do I want to tag next? I'll do that later ok, I'm so sorry but I feel tired already and I want to sleep.

Eat that frog

Two days ago, my mom forwarded an interesting email. The subject was: Eat that frog! Here’s what I learnt from the email that changed my week…

“If the first thing you do in the morning is to eat a live frog,
Nothing worse can happen for the rest of the day!”

What is the live frog that you’re supposed to eat every morning? The “FROG” is the most difficult task that is on your things-to-do list, as you are likely to procrastinate that particular task, and this will drain your energy. Thinking about it, it does sound true. I’ve been procrastinating a lot of difficult task and I usually attend to the things that I like most… so can you imagine how many “frogs” I’ve been keeping??? I am glad I clicked on the link that was in that email because I changed… hopefully it’s a permanent change!

I straight away contacted my personal trainer (I haven’t been to the gym for 1 month!) and set a workout session with her, studied pericardial effusion and mopped the house! However, that still leaves me with 3-4 frogs… but it’s ok, at least I got rid of the other three, right?

Tomorrow, I intend to study for surgery and answer the questions on thyroid… I will do that first thing in the morning, and at 2pm I have another workout session with Rehab. She said that I gained some weight, but I took it positively, it’s a challenge for me to work harder. Believe or not, I ran 14 minutes just now!!! I obeyed all her instructions that included 15 minutes on the stairs machine. I hate that machine, it’s really tiring… and usually, I will stop after 5-6 minutes on it and beg Rehab to switch to a different program! I climbed 60 floors and burnt 120 calories on the stairs machine. I was on the cross-trainer for 30 minutes… the total calories burnt today was 470 calories! I thought twice about eating rice just now, but what can I do, I was starving, and hey… I need energy ok! I hope tomorrow I can concentrate on the upper body and more cardio!

Erm… what else happened today. Oh yeah, for the first in months, I had the luxury of time to sit in the Jacuzzi for 20 minutes…. Aww..what a bliss! I look forward to more Jacuzzis tomorrow… yeay!
