First day of the month
Yeay! I'm officially on a 2-weeks holiday. I had my last class of chest medicine that lasted for 3 hours, then I joined my husband shopping in City Stars. Almost all the shops are on sale... MNG had quite a good deal. Speaking of MNG, I tried a top just now, and there was a big tear at the back. I noticed it as I tried it on, it was a big one, and I certainly knew that it wasn't me who did it because I didn't hear any tear. I didn't know what to do, I felt like telling the sales girl outside, then I thought, what if she thought I did it and will charge me for the damage... But I just told her, because I figured that if I was the one who did it, surely I'd be hiding, right? She just thanked me for telling and kept the top inside their store.
I have so many things on my mind right now. I've already planned my studying timetable as well as my gym schedule. I look forward to exercising tomorrow with Rehab, after weeks of rest. Frankly, I hate long breaks from working out, especially if I took time off more than a week because when I start again, it feels like I am starting from zero... I'd have muscle aches the day after the intense work out.
Last night, I watched Oprah (YEAY!!!)... one of her guest was the winner of The Biggest Looser, a reality show on loosing weight. Anyway, the winner fell of the wagon after the show ended... he put on half of the weight that he had lost during the show and felt embarassed with his failure in maintaining the weight... ever since, he's been hiding from the media. He felt ashamed of himself and that he didn't want to dissapoint his fans because lots of people were inspired by his weight loss. Loosing weight is easy, maintaining is the difficult part. It's so true.. it applies to me too! That is life, no pain no gain.
I heard from an audio book once (sorry because I can't recall the title), it's discipline that determines whether you are the CEO of a company or the janitor. You should never procrastinate whatever task you plan to do, especially the ones that bring you closer to your goal because you never know how many years of delay that will cost you in reaching your goal. I always keep that in mind, especially in the morning when I wake up. I always find myself in a battle of snoozing my alarm (and stay in bed) against waking up right away and begin my day early. Believe, it's very challenging especialy during the winters. Let's hope that I am disciplined enough to wake up at 5am every morning, even during the holidays!
I'm out of ideas right now...
