Venous Ulcer

Before I begin, let me tell you, I had a really fulfilling day today. I saw many surgery cases but the best one is the venous ulcer case that I saw at Dr Wael's clinical class. The young man had a venous ulcer it was big, I could even see the flesh. Lucky I sat at the back so I couldn't smell anything. The ulcer had purulent discharge, so that wouldn't be something that I would look forward to smelling. I still remember what my dad used to tell me, "kalau Niah nak jadi doctor, tak boleh nak geli2 macam ni, sebab nanti nanah patient pun kena bau." hahaha. That doesn't include the stool analysis and vomitus inspection! As a kid, I was always the kind of girl that adults get irritated with... you know the ones that is so "cerewet"... hehe. Sad to admit but true. I just pray that my children won't be like me. Thanks Mak Ayah for being patient with me!

What else happened today.. oh yeah.. my ECG class. Dr Ashraf explained about ECG findings of myocardial infarction and ischemia. In conclusion, I'd say that he's a really good cardiologist, a genius in fact. It's not just the depth of knowledge that I am amazed with, it's more of how he is able to explain everything but in a simple way.. in a way that it's easy for us to understand. I am so happy and grateful that I joined his class. I look forward to his next class, which is tomorrow.. most probably on arrhythmia. I cannot wait to get to the stage where I can spot diagnose an ECG strip!

Another thing that I look forward to is the next episode of Desperate Housewives. I hate it when they have the long break.. it wont be aired until 20th April... SPOILER ALERT: dah la Eddie is in a coma.
